From red tape to results!
How Komtur overcame multiple bureaucratic obstacles to save a very sick child in Japan.
How we did it
When a severely ill child in Japan was almost out of time and options, there was a chance to try an experimental treatment still under trial.
The problem was that, due to various political factors, the child wasn’t eligible for the clinical trial. At this point, when all hope seemed lost, Komtur’s knowledge of the local rules came into play.
We found a rule that stipulated that if the monthly volume was not shipped under the maximum treatment quantity, then a doctor’s prescription was all the product needed to clear customs.
After that it was simply a matter of slashing the red tape. We got the product to the patient in time, the treatment worked and the child’s life was saved.
