From red tape to results!

A seriously ill child in Japan was running out of treatment options. An investigational medicine offered a possibility, but the child was not eligible for the clinical trial.

The trial route was closed. The question was whether another access route was available.

That required more than finding the product. Trial eligibility and access outside a trial are different questions, each with its own requirements.

Komtur examined the local import rules and identified a route that allowed the medicine to clear customs on the basis of a doctor’s prescription, subject to the applicable quantity limits.

With the route established, we arranged delivery in time for treatment. The treatment was successful, and the child survived.

The difference was knowing which requirements applied to this particular request and turning that knowledge into a supply route that worked.
