We don’t drop the ball no matter how many are in the air
How Komtur Romania maintained treatment availability through a complex acquisition while preparing the wider portfolio for local access.
How we did it

An acquisition can move a medicine into a new company. Keeping it available to patients takes a different kind of coordination.
When a major pharmaceutical manufacturer acquired a company with an orphan medicine in its portfolio, the Romanian transition came with an important requirement: maintain treatment access without changing the existing pricing and full reimbursement.
At the same time, the wider portfolio needed attention. Oncology, endocrinology and other rare-disease therapies were at different stages of registration, with local pricing and reimbursement still to be established.
Komtur Romania brought the work together.
Our team managed regulatory and market access processes, coordinated distribution, established a dedicated promotional team and tailored the medical and marketing strategy to the portfolio.
During the transition, we maintained product availability, secured price reapproval and preserved reimbursement status for the existing therapy.
We also submitted dossiers for new indications and coordinated a national screening campaign to help identify patients who could benefit from treatment.
Alongside that work, we advanced local authorization and pricing for other brands, enabling access to additional therapies.
Several workstreams. Different starting points. Patients depending on continuity throughout.
Keeping every ball in the air meant understanding how each decision affected the next, and coordinating the people responsible for making it happen.
