When things get complicated, Komtur clears the way.

How Komtur Shanghai sourced 30 batches of a biologic cancer medicine across global markets for an analytical research project.

How we did it

The client needed one medicine. But not just any supply of it.

A biologics developer required 30 different batches of a cancer medicine for a complex preclinical analytical study. Each batch had to meet a minimum remaining shelf life, and the collection had to include a specified variation in expiration dates.

All within ten months.

This was a batch collection challenge. Finding enough product would not be enough: the batches themselves had to fit the research requirements.

Komtur Shanghai screened available batches across global markets. The findings showed that the best sourcing strategy would draw on several countries across Europe, the United States, Australia and Asia.

We gave the client a clear picture of market availability and used it to shape the collection plan around the study’s timeline and batch requirements.

Over ten months, Komtur collected all 30 batches.

The complexity was in matching batch-level availability to a precise research need. Our global reach widened the search. Our sourcing expertise turned the findings into a workable plan.
